not much detail there tho
Nine deaths have now been reported in Washington, the only state so far with coronavirus fatalities.
The majority have been in King County. One person died in Snohomish County. All are near Seattle.
As of Tuesday, there are a total of 31 coronavirus cases in the state, including the nine deaths.

(53,342 posts)9. Can you make that it's own thread??
and I'm betting the US rate is way high due to underreporting of cases and the fact one of the places hit is a long-term care nursing home

(101,400 posts)10. Ah yes - 6 connected with that home
The two additional victims actually died before the other reported deaths, on February 26. They were identified as a man who died at a Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and a woman in her 80s who died in her family home, county health officials said.
Both people who died were residents of the Life Care Center. The chain of long-term nursing facilities is linked to many fatal cases.
Washington state has seen at least 21 cases eight people who died were from King County and one death was in Snohomish County, officials said. Federal health experts are being sent to Evergreen Health in Kirkland, where at least six patients have died.
At least 50 residents and staff members were experiencing symptoms and were tested for the coronavirus at the Life Care Center. Officials said the center was connected to at least 9 patients who became sick with the virus.
