Question: Why the lack of Covid-19 test kits? Answer: Trump!

Trump brags about shutting down flights from China in late January.

But this only bought us time.

But we didn't use the time to ramp up production and distribution of text kits.

Why?

1.) Trump "thought" we could contain it despite expert advice

2.) more importantly (for Trump) increase testing would indicate that the virus was spreading and this would depress the stock market and hurt Trump's chances for re-election.


He ignored the experts who pointed out how essential testing would be in this crisis and instead went with what he perceived to be his own benefit.


His brilliant "instincts" and self-interest are deadly..


Congress should investigate!

1. A high crime?

Well, maybe not, esp. with the Republicans in the Senate, but we should bring this up to counter Trump's narrative that he reacted swiftly and intelligibility to protect the American people form the Coronavirus.
