Joy Reid is in the Hardball hour.

I don’t know if it’s going to be a long term thing but I’d bet money they’re trying it out.

I’ve been hot and cold on Joy but she seems positive about Joe right now and I’ll take that.

She just interviewed my congressman, who supports Sanders. You could see her contempt for Sanders in her face and hear it in her voice. She's supposed to try to be objective, to act like a journalist. I don't think she can do that.

Last cycle she came off as very Anti-Bernie. To the point where I found it kind of hard to listen to her. I’ve heard a few times recently where she seemed far more measured and acknowledged the energy/hunger of the Sanders supporters.

I can see her as a kick ass voice on Morning Joe and the talk shows, and she has the intelligence , but just doesn’t seem to carry a show.

Matthews drove me nuts many times, but he also gave a perspective from inside the Beltway that I really liked. He enjoyed politics - it's like he breathed it.

Don't get me wrong - I think he had to go. He's done plenty of things that bothered me, and his refusal to listen to his guests was maddening, even when he wasn't saying inappropriate things. How he treated Warren a couple of weeks ago was inexplicable, and gave sound bites to her opponents.

In fact, I watched him so rarely anymore that his show barely registered with me (probably because I'm on the West Coast and they don't replay it at any time I can watch, if at all).

But find some former congressional aide, or speechwriter, or someone who relishes politics as much as he does, please! Someone like Bill Press maybe (heck, I still miss Crossfire).
