Trump: "because of quick action on closing our borders, has, as of now, only 129 cases"

Donald J. Trump ✔@realDonaldTrump

With approximately 100,000 CoronaVirus cases worldwide, and 3,280 deaths, the United States, because of quick action on closing our borders, has, as of now, only 129 cases (40 Americans brought in) and 11 deaths. We are working very hard to keep these numbers as low as possible!

and for suggesting that the death rate is "way less than 1%"

and for suggesting that it's totally cool to go to work when sick

and for fucking up the disaster response plans that Obama put in place

and for putting a religious zealot in charge of the action plans

and for just now getting around to make sure there are enough tests

You're a fucking saviour.

Then blame everyone else, starting with Joe Biden or Barack Obama, and the media will faithfully and uncritically report every lying syllable that falls out of his stupid mouth. Then he'll praise himself incessantly, and brag about how he and he alone stopped the outbreak from becoming a pandemic. Then how he stopped the pandemic from becoming an epidemic. Then after the disease has run its course how he personally saved millions of lives.

trying to explain to him that this isn't the flu, the flu shot won't help, and a vaccine won't be available in a few weeks or months.
