It's not that these GOP candidates are telling such bullshit lies and assine comments.

It's that I meet people who fricking believe them

By the way, your answer is correct. You have your finger on the pulse.

I live in Missouri, the Show Me Anything And I'll Believe It state - the sheer amount of Rick Perry supporters within a 50 mile radius of my house is insanely horrifying. I'd literally rather be surrounded by the same amount of flesh eating zombies, at least they're out in the open about cannibalizing America instead of hiding behind religion.

The RW corporatocracy & the MSM have turned governing this country into reality game show. And it's not a very good one either. The GOP candidates spend all their time engaging in blood sacrifices to Mammon, using workers and the middle class as fodder - and the mindless talking heads in the not-news media wonder if the candidates' Italian shoes will protect their feet from the blood. Then, if anyone stands up and asks, "What about the people they're killing?" the wrath of the entire media descends upon them & destroys them.

What disgusts me most about politics today is people who choose a political team and just root for the team, policy means nothing other than a means to launch propaganda for them.

but nobody can do anything about it or they pretend they don't see it. Stop the damn train people! But they just smile and start talking about their favorite politician. They either believe that it's not gonna happen or they just don't care. It's like a twilight zone sometimes.

It's bad enough that many people are so completely uninformed, but it seems to have become a point of honor. See: climate change ain't real, Reagan was a great president, drill baby drill.

What MAKES me angry - that is, what I haven't got the self-control to choose anything other than anger in response to - is having to witness deliberate injury or torture without being able to successfully intervene.

Where I think anger is a useful motivator when properly directed - that's a different matter, and it varies.

at Obama, at the Democratic Party, at the Republicans, at the media, and others. People are angry at what they see as arrogant incompetence and lies by the Republicans and they are angry at the lack of courage and conviction in a lot of Democrats and just the unwillingness to fight back. Not everyone, but a lot. I think Obama has created a lot of this anger by his inability to fight back as hard as some expect him to, especially considering the incompetence and arrogance and downright lies of the Republicans. However, the deepest anger is reserved for the Republicans who they perceive as the root of the problem. The Republicans continue to lie and the anger never subsides. If we can determine the origin of the anger, we can deal with it in a more rational manner, in my humble opinion.
