Im so mad I couldI dont even have words. Im a few miles from that nursing home. Were doing all we can to take care of ourselves and look out for one another intelligently and without utter panic.
Were doing that with the guidance of an intelligent, honest, careful team of heath experts who arent playing politics and are giving us as much actual information as they can. Inslee has been golden.
Have you noticed how often that asshole attacks the leaders of areas that are in trouble? Hes angry that theyre making him look bad by needing help, by exposing his incompetence and narcissism.
I was in Seattle proper today. Its soldiering on. Not as many people out as usually are but theyre trying. Using hand sanitizer on everything. Holding meetings by Zoom. And it wont be enough.
We NEED a competent response. We can give important data for when it hits all the rest of you.
That bastard has got to go.

Hang in there. I used to say thoughts and prayers, but need a new phrase now. At any rate, i have been thinking about my neighbors to the north, and my Seattle friends, with empathy and well wishes.

"Talking about Coronavirus at CDC, Trump just referred to Wash State governor Inslee as a snake after Pence paid a visit there yesterday to check on the outbreak."
Pence ignored that, naturally. He kept on praises the wonderful POTUS. Asshole.

(2,012 posts)In Colorado we are so sorry of how WA people have suffered and so proud of what your gov and all of you have done. And so disgusted at Trump's actions and words at the CDC today I want to puke. My dear granddaughter who works at the CDC has been screening the evacuees and working so hard to limit this awful virus and is so ashamed of what Trump and his cohorts are doing.

(6,831 posts)trumpie's disingenuous BS climate denying. Jay kind of led the way among candidates in giving climate change such a high profile during the early debates. He essentially called trumpie out, making him look stupid and out of touch with reality, and trumpie has never forgiven Jay for that. But when it comes to understanding government and governance, Jay runs circles around trumpie.
Jay's leadership has been on full display since COVID-19 emerged in Seattle. And I don't believe that Jay would ever lie to Washingtonians about the dangers that this virus presents. He's not worried about the stock market, he's worried about whether or not people are safe to go the grocery market.

Media star power trumps intelligence, competence, and a proven record.
What are Jay's negatives, if any?
