Considering that we are telling people to be careful about touching door knobs with our bare hands, wouldn't credit cards and card readers also be a possible source of contamination?

(40,238 posts)I regularly clean my debit card and credit card with disinfectant. I keep Clorox wipes along with hand sanitizer in my car. I never use a public pen, I only use the one I have with me. I would rather stick pins in my eyeballs than touch anything in a public restroom, which I will always do whatever possible to avoid. I always use hand sanitizer or wash my hands after reading the menu in a restaurant (they are teaming with bacteria, btw.) Airplanes are flying petri dishes and I am miserable whenever I have to be on one.
Sometimes I am even a pain in the ass to myself!
I don't know why I am like that, but I am glad it is all second nature to me now.

Fwiw, Im switching to plastic storage bins for carrying groceries.
Can just wipe them down or spritz with mild bleach solution and let em hang out in the sun. Seems easier than washing or worrying about the state of reusable bags.
