3. I've wondered if doctors see a reverse placebo effect? Some guy sees advertising for a drug for

a condition he has or thinks he has. Maybe even has friends telling him that's really the shit, and he wants to get on it. So he goes to the doctor and his doctor doesn't agree, and prescribes a different drug, treatment, diet or whatever. If the guy thinks his doctor is wrong, or even pissed at him, does that hurt the chances of the different drug or treatment working?
