In oil form such as rosemary, thyme and eucalyptus. But, they have to be formulated correctly. It’s dangerous to state that the plant can kill viruses on their own.

I’m a science educated guy. If people depend on herbs to cure the then more people are going to die!

This shit pisses me off. We depended on herbs and such before we understood germ theory.

After your exposure to the coronavirus when you get Covid 19, why don't you medicate yourself with these ten herbs and (if you are able) let us know how that works out for you.

It's completely irresponsible to post this. You should self delete.

As CV-19 primarily attacks the lungs, this seemed timely and not 'woo'.

I didn't post this as cure. More as a look into preventative possibility's.
Herbal/folk remedies, for the most part, have a positive track record hundreds, some even thousands of years.
Many modern pharm products use these as a base for their expensive pills.

Y'all are entitled to your opinions.

"Herbal/folk remedies, for the most part, have a positive track record hundreds, some even thousands of years.

Care to:
Give details on the 'positive track record' of a specific treatment?

Give details on which modern pharmaceutical products use which specific herbs in their expensive pills?

Just general statements like yours above don't convince anyone.

По-английски that would be "I am not a doctor, nor do I play one on TV." Понятно?

Slavic languages do not have articles, like "a" and "the," so people from those countries trying to write English understandably don't always know when to use them and when not to.

I used to laugh when my brother was stationed at a base in Japan for two years. All the huts on the base had signs and free entry. "Officers' Quarters" "Mess Hall" whatever. In front of HIS hut, there was no sign, but two armed gorillas guarding the entrance. This is "military intelligence" at the core of its definition. My brother and colleagues were at the point of asking the base commander why he didn't just put up a sign saying "Spooks Only."

And anyway, Кто молодец? I'll have you know I own fossils of animals that used to be my house pets.

Well, OK, cave pets.

Herbs are being recognized and researched more and more in science and medicine. They do have potent healing capabilities.

That being said, you need a well-trained practitioner, preferably an herbalist, to use them.

it is important to wash your hands to keep the virus at bay. Unfortunately, over the centuries humans have rendered extinct some of the healing plants provided in nature. The following is a (short) list of some healing plants that still exist in nature. Willow Bark became aspirin. Paclitaxel, extracted from the Pacific yew, is the precursor to today’s cancer fighting chemotherapy drug marketed as Taxol and is considered to be one of the National Cancer Institute’s successes in their search for new cancer drugs from nature. Yohimbe is the precursor to Viagra. Bearberry is the precursor to sulfa drugs used to treat UTIs. Bitterleaf is a zoopharmacognosy remedy used by animals to treat parasites. Bloodroot is the precursor to commercial preparations to counteract dental plaque and gum disease. Brazil Nut provides the necessary micro-nutrient selenium in selenium-deprived areas. The ricin in the Castor Bean is being bioengineered to attach to antibodies that bind to and destroy cancer cells. Chaste Tree is the precursor to commercially prepared PMS remedies and for treatment of Parkinson’s. Forskohlii’s compound forskolin was found to calm muscle spasms, lower blood pressure, and as a prescription drug, is used for the treatment of hypothyroidism. Foxglove is the precursor to conventional drugs used in controlling edema associated with congestive heart failure. Happy Tree is the precursor for many cancer fighting drugs recognized and approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. In World War I a remedy containing Cannabis was given to horses in the military to treat colic episodes.

Clearly, there is a use for conventional medicine and a use for alternative medicine and their uses can be inclusive, not exclusive.

If (or when) the C-virus hits you, what will be your healing remedy? Thoughts and prayers???

Thanks for posting, OxQQme.

She isn't suggesting using these herbs instead of getting tested and quarantined if needed. I'd think these could be used while one is at home quarantined to help reduce symptoms. I think these are good suggestions as long as not taken as a substitute but in addition to testing/quarantine.

herbs are in fact used in common cold remedies and when the leaves are steeped and drunk as tea can definitely help relieve sore throat, cough, chest congestion, etc. In their pure forms they are often much more effective than over the counter remedies.

While they won't cure the corona virus, they might provide some symptom relief. The two that were not included were mullen and comfrey which do truly help clear the lungs. Very important if one is down with the virus.

So let's not jump all over the poster who was not stating that these were substitutes for going to the doctor.
