A week ago, at about the same time of day, there were only two other patients in the waiting room. She was seen in 15 minutes.
Went back today to get the stitches removed. The waiting room was packed with patients wearing masks and she was told it would be at least a 3 hour wait. Made an appointment to go back in the morning BEFORE they open.
She didn't get close to anyone and used a lysol wipe to open the door.
I don't know the reason for the difference in patient volume between last week and today, but I sure am wondering. Also wondering if any of them will be tested.

(7,719 posts)I've had it already, it was the mildest case of flu I've ever had. I did get the flu shot back in Sept. No headaches, no vomiting, no diarrhea. Just low grade fever accompanied by the aches and pains. Everyone I know has had it. 3-4 days of symptoms, then just a nagging cough. But, coming at a time when people are freaked about COVID, could explain the waiting room congestions.
