There are good things about twitter.
If we are going to bailout airlines, hotels and cruise ship companies, can we bail out America's food banks? Millions of children rely on school lunches and take home bags of food. These children will need help if schools close.

If you see this tweet, please consider donating cash to your local food bank. Food donations are great, but they are able to use the cash to buy at bulk and wholesale pricing and make the money go much further.

(9,287 posts)1. I am on the board and volunteer at mine.
All of the volunteers are retired seniors because of the daytime commitments. I go Thursday. We feed 100-120 families every two weeks. I dont know what is going to happen. We cant close down.

will pick up the slack. Our churches rotate providing breakfast and/or lunch to many kids during summer.
