"It's about the same as the flu," say Trump...minutes ago.
He is a clear and present danger to the Republic and the citizens thereof. At best he. is crazy at worst this is Criminal Negligence of not homicide.
Don't tell me that it is futile and he will not go. We need to change the narrative from submission to demanding his resignation.
So ..get on the phones and call your reps.and contact the media Resignation NOW!

(2,201 posts)He's been a clear and present danger to our country since he was elected. He's crazy and criminally negligent.
But, he's not resigning. Ever.
Zoonart
(11,866 posts)to change the narrative from impeach to resignation. Put the pressure on the GOP to own all of this mess until they get rid of him.
Captain Stern
(2,201 posts)The GOP had a chance to get rid of him, and didn't take it.
There's nobody in either party that can get trump to resign.
The only way we're getting rid of him is to vote him out.

(243 posts)That bastard needs to give us the test kits!!! I feel like I'm a sitting duck in Seattle. We don't know how it's spread beyond droplets, we don't know how long it lasts on surfaces, we don't know if washing hands is enough, and so forth. No one knows SHIT and we're all being the guineau pigs. I HATE that MFer.

(13,058 posts)You don't want to get it but unless you are over 60 or if you have underlying conditions you will probably survive it. We will not all die. In fact, even among older people most will survive although they are more vulnerable.
Turin_C3PO
(13,991 posts)At its current fatality rate, millions could die in this country. Thats worst case scenario but it IS possible. And there was just a story posted about a thirty year old being in critical condition in Minnesota.

(586 posts)remember when he said that this will all go away by spring, when temps get warmer. I think it's the reason why we've seen so little action on fighting the disease. Because he thinks it's just the flu & it will miraculously go away!
I've seen pics of him shaking hands with right wingers who are in self quarantine & hasn't been tested. I hope he doesn't get tested, I hope he waits so long that the virus kills him! Maybe then he'll see that it's much more serious than the seasonal flu!
But the downside of not being tested is that he could spread it to others but those people would be very unlikely to be dems

(32,640 posts)It's not 'submission' to acknowledge the cold hard facts that Trump will not resign, and demanding that he do so will likely make him dig in more.
He has oppositional defiant impulses.
Old Crow
(2,212 posts)Have you not been paying attention these past three years? Trump is incapable of acknowledging fault. Ergo, the chances of him resigning the presidency are zero.
Zoonart
(11,866 posts)Which is to change tha narrative and pressure the GOP to own this before the election.
I state straight up I don't expect him to resign.
Old Crow
(2,212 posts)Title of post: "Trump must resign now!" Nowhere in the original post do you state you don't expect him to resign. Yet now you claim "I state straight up I don't expect him to resign."
Huh?
Zoonart
(11,866 posts)Should be a direct messaging campaign to pressure the GOP to face the music.
It took Republican senators walking up to the White House demanding Nixons resignation that forced him from power. Sorry that was not clear
Do I think he will resign? No.
A message of "Trump must resign now", loudly and pervasively will force GOPers to answer the question
"Do you think the president should resign?" Those answers can only hurt them in November.
