Warriors to play home games without fans following San Francisco order
The Golden State Warriors are planning to play home games without fans for the foreseeable future in observance of the San Francisco Health Office's order prohibiting events of 1,000 people or more from assembling, a source told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on Wednesday.
The Warriors host the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday then go on a two-week road trip before starting a four-game homestand March 25.

The director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases told a congressional committee Wednesday that he would recommend the NBA not allow fans at games in response to the coronavirus.
That answer by Dr. Anthony Fauci came hours before NBA owners are scheduled to meet to discuss the next steps in responding to the growing concern about the virus.
Fauci was responding to a question from Rep. Glenn Grothman, a Wisconsin Republican, during a meeting of the House Oversight Committee.

(182,789 posts)The First Four NCAA Tournament games slated for Dayton, Ohio will be played without fans in attendance, and the tournament game scheduled for Cleveland will likely be affected as well. This comes after Ohio governor Mike DeWine announced that mass gatherings will be prohibited in the state.
