Please be kind, patient, helpful to checkers, servers, delivery people - they are overworked

and exhausted because so many people are calling in sick. The checker at my local Vons was exhausted, and the young lady bagging my groceries was too. They said they were doing double duty. They are getting run down and are at greater risk for contracting the Corona Virus.

I swim at a large complex. Half of it was shut down due to a life guard shortage (they called in sick).

and I got to feeling sorry for the employees in the pharmacy department. They were very busy and they are exposed to sick people constantly.

as two ladies were just reporting for work. Each of them was well over 70 years old and one, I'm estimating, is over 80. I worry for them. I hope that they are both working out of choice and not out of critical need.

I was one of them at one time or another in my long working life. And I usually tip at 30%.
