Wanda Sykes Explains Why the GOP Hates Her

Outspoken comic Wanda Sykes says that as a black, gay woman "the only way to make the GOP hate me more is if I sent them a video of me rolling around on a pile of welfare checks."

Logo’s 2012 election special “NewNowNext Vote with Wanda Sykes” was taped on Friday in front of a live studio audience in New York City. According to a press release, the special aims "to educate, activate and entertain viewers while shining a spotlight on the state of national politics through an LGBT lens." Sykes navigated her panel, which included Congressman Barney Frank, news anchor Thomas Roberts, and Democratic strategist Hilary Rosen, through some heated, yet often comedic debates on topics ranging from the economy, healthcare, education, women’s rights, job protection, to, naturally, gay marriage.

And it was well worth the wait. I had to watch it repeatedly because I kept missing things from laughing so loud.

Like Jim Carey at first. He was funny, but his characters were so irritating.

Saw him in the Truman Show and read his history and now I like him more and respect his acting abilities more too.

Seems like Wanda has a keen mind under all that sass. Some times her characters are kind of "Yeah, I'm mean. That's your problem not mine." So going to look at her more closely. A lot more going on, at least as a person, it seems.

I think it's called "I'ma Gonna Be Me," and I laughed out loud throughout most of it (not something I'm known to do with comedians). She's worth the time... I loved the bit about her mom telling her and her sister not to dance in the car 'cause white people are watchin'. Anyway, if you get the opportunity to see that show, give it a shot, she's pretty darn funny if you get beyond the voice.

If you have evidence that she supported Bush in 2004, please share it, otherwise stop using Hannity's technique of insinuation by question. "Is Obama really a Christian?" "Didnt Biden get arrested for drunk driving?" "Doesnt Hillary like females best?".

If you dont have the evidence you ask the question.
