locked in even before conference tourneys, based on overall records, with some credit for conference tourney performance. Then again, I never really understood how they picked all 68 teams. I suspect they'll use new criteria on Sunday.

9. The smaller conference champions aren't locked in

if they don't win their tournament. They often get kicked down to the NIT. Also, there are a number of "at large" bids that go to non-champions out of bigger conferences that aren't decided until the committee picks them.

That said, if they aren't playing conference tournaments anymore the cancellation of the NCAA tournament should fall in line shortly.

We didn't buy airtime to show essentially a practice? Without the fans I would think the interest would wane.

Also I think communities are about to get a better appreciation for the economic impact of these tournaments.

My husband is annoyed, he takes a week off every year for his birthday week bc it is also acc tournament time. We understand and are okay bc reasons! But wow. There are people here who will be pissed. We expect the NCAA tourney to cancel soon, too.
This is going to damage Comrade Dumbass. It might end him. There are few distractions he could come up with that would overtake this story. I look for him to appear a number of times over the next few days and become increasingly more erratic as he trys to tamp this down.
