"meat tic" strangest thing I ever heard, but it's true

My guy's daughter-in-law was just diagnosed with this tic-borne disease. I guess it's uncommon, even more uncommon in our part of the country. Given that it's still winter, I imagine it's even more rare (of course the tic bite could have happened quite some time ago, and it just took some time to make the diagnosis).

I do not, however, recall which podcast it was. Possibly Radiolab or This American Life.
