Son is coming home from college, and my elementary school is now making plans

for closing and determining what will trigger this shut down.

I know the world is overdue for a big pandemic, but I really had hoped we’d keep on skating by.

Decided to come home, at least for next week. They’re both in off campus housing so they have a place to stay if they go back.

I’m hoping the one on the east coast is able to fly home- he has a flight scheduled but it isn’t for a few days. The other son is closer and will do the 12 hour drive tomorrow.

It’ll be good to have them back. I told them to make sure to pack anything they’d need for remote classes in case travel becomes impossible.

This just fucking sucks. It's going to turn into an economic bloodbath worse than 2008.

in 2008 the demand dropped. This time we will the both supply and demand dropping. Covid-19 is incredibly resilient - 72hours on glass surfaces. This tells me that summer won’t be necessarily our savior.

for many of us... I was feeling pretty lucky until my daughter called a bit ago to say she is out a job because of CoVid-19 I am really beginning to hate all of this

He's a grad student, doing the research and writing it up. No classes for him, nor is he a TA at this point. So he can do everything from home.
