Laid off today. I will miss my curmudgeon 89 y/o gal.

Spoke to my Medicaid client to let him know I was exposed to an out of country flyer- Liberia-LAX-SEATAC. I'll find out tomorrow if I'm also out a job there. I'm okay for this month's bills, but not next. I will miss my 89 blind post polio gal... She's a kick in the pants. I'm heartbroken and in tears. It's been an absolute horrid day.

With the layoffs because of the coronavirus, getting a job is going to be even harder. Especially for older people like me - too young to retire but deemed too old to work.

7. People who need us most are at the mercy of short staff and

and young gals who have those fucking long fake claw nails. They can't even help patients who need compression socks, because those fucking nails! Not to mention the bacteria! You can talk to the RN in charge and the gals who have the nails, and they just scoff. It's sickening.

9. Several years ago I read that a study showed

soap was ineffective for killing bacteria on those acrylic nails. It concluded that those who contact sick people should not use those nails.
