I'm watching the GB Packers vs. the SF 49ers. Why you should be too (hint: labor)

It's ironic that this game is taking place in Wisconsin, because it highlights a union vs. corporate struggle. Some of you may know that NFL officials are striking right now; they've been replaced with scabs by the league. NFL officials, even under the best of circumstances, do not share in the massive profits of the NFL. Almost all have full time jobs outside of professional football; otherwise they wouldn't make enough to feed their families.

I've been listening closely and carefully to the coverage of the officiating in this first weekend of pro-football. Al Michaels, on his NBC broadcast on Wednesday night, (unsurprisingly) thought the scab refs did a fine job. This rest of the football anchors I've heard seem to be following suit.

But the Green Bay vs. San Francisco game has been just AWFUL in terms of officiating. It's been so bad that even Joe Buck and Troy Aikman (today's anchors) can't help but comment on it. There have been numerous awful calls, but the bottom line is that the officiating may have cost Green Bay the game. If there had been professional, trained, UNION labor officiating, the Wisconsin team may have won.

Labor is Labor, folks. Even if it's in the service of a game.

Don't mess with my 49ers!

But, yeah, these scabs suck balls. Pay those refs what they want and get them back on the job.

I watched every Pats game last season and this one was just very badly officiated. Which is not surprising since these people must have less experience then the regular officials. And I miss Ed Hochuli, the most in shape 61 year old official ever.

I bowed 15 (true Packers fans will know the reason of the number) times to Mecca (aka Green Bay) ate the Holy Bratwurst at half time and the Packers still lost damn it! Oh well Thursday its those worthless Bears and they will go down!

Oh and yeah it had to be one of the worst games in terms of officiating I have ever seen in my life.

There were a couple of bad calls, but every time the packers lose the officials get blamed. The packers just plain stunk yesterday.

... and didn't deserve to win.

Second, a bunch of bad calls were made. The refs were awful. Both teams were victimized by bad calls.

Third, I'm getting my sign ready for Thursday night's epic Packers/Bears game:
