Email Blast from FairFight.com - Stacey Abrams' organization March 13, 2020This week, the Georgia Senate passed a bill that could have critical implications for the 2020 elections.
After Georgias legislative leaders urged the public to stay away from the Statehouse due to COVID-19, they quickly passed the Secretary of States anti-voting rights legislation, S.B. 463.
In short, S.B. 463 removes the obligation for the State Elections Board to ensure the legality and purity of elections and removes their responsibility to ensure Georgia counties follow federal elections law.
It also could make signature-based rejections of absentee ballots more prevalent for ballots that do not include copies of photo ID, which could disproportionately affect voters without access to printers and/or scanners. Given global health concerns, the State should be removing barriers to absentee ballots, not adding them.

Governor* Kemp and the Secretary of State are doing everything they can to trample on the right of all eligible citizens to vote. Thats why we will continue to fight to ensure that every voice is heard.

Likewise Texas and Arizona
Those are the 3 states shifting away from them. Once there was a senate loss for the GOP in Arizona 2018 and tight victories in Georgia governor and Texas senate I knew darn well they would take measures to suppress the vote. Their advantage is that they can work on this quietly behind the scenes while we devote so much energy to Trump's atrocities of the past.
I hate that we don't work on voters registration 24/7/365. All age levels. That's where the Bloomberg and Steyer money should be going, not anti-Trump commercials that have basically no impact.

I'd love to see Bloomberg & Steyer money go to voter reg/ anti-suppression efforts AND anti Dump commercials!!!!
