Grandsons school district closed yesterday

until Tuesday. Actual confirmed positive test. Not a school employee or student but an IT Tech Rep. Servicing the computers? Closed for cleaning the buildings.

Went on the Long Island Press site for listing of schools closings both public and private. The report got very specific. While many were closed simply out of precaution, some were closed to confirmed positive tests.

Case of a Middle School Teacher. Case of "staff member" not specified how. Case of a Parent with 3 children in the schools. Couple of high schools with students testing postive.

Interestingly, none of the confirmed positive cases were of very young students. All adults or teenagers.

It does make me wonder if besides cleaning these schools, are they recommending all staff, students and parents (?) in these schools should be tested? Some of these high schools can have a thousand students alone, in addition to all staff, and parents.

I just wonder what the CDC recommendations are for this?

4 great-nieces/nephews are having college classes go online and dorms closed.
2 great-nieces in 3rd grade schools closed until March 30.
1 great-nephew middle school closed until March 30.

The triplets' mother is a college professor who now must teach online classes. Her spring break was last week, but is being extended by another week so she can prepare.
