We got there at 7:45 and waited for it to open. They restocked all the paper goods, By 8:30 they were out!!! There was no bread and pasta. I was bummed. Lo and behold the delivery for those items was made while we were there. Success.
People were in relatively good cheer. That saved the experience from feeling like the Great Tribulation I learned about in Sunday school.
We have enough food and cleaning supplies to last a long while.

(7,715 posts)Local grocery stores were not TOO bad, but the Trader Joe's that I was just at a few minutes ago had to shut the doors to limit entry, probably because of fire codes.
That being said, it was very busy but not horrifically awful. I was about to place an online order for food, but decide to chance it. Folks generally were pleasant, and the store staff was GREAT.

(14,275 posts)I stopped in this place in Kentucky that has an entire aisle devoted to rice in 15 to 100 bags. Nothing. The shelves were wiped out and I got there shortly after they opened this morning.
I should note that this store is near the main gate for Fort Campbell. It makes me think the soldiers may know something we don't know.

It's a shitshow precisely because nobody knows what the fuck is going on.
