My truck driver husband says...

There will be a rise in loads at least in the short term. Production has been upped at two companies he's picked up from.

There's no way to tell how this goes in the next few months as testing expands.

We just had our grocery delivery a few minutes ago and the driver said the shelves are quickly being picked clean.

It'll be good to see him tonight when he comes home. I get him for the next couple of days. When he goes out, we're not sure when he'll be home again.

I'll pass it on.

People gonna learn they've been undervaluing the workers in practice, even if they give lip service.

and getting it out there
And now we're going to get a lot of, "but people are frightened!" .. "reason to be concerned!" .. "just taking precautions .."

Yeah .. and small minded and selfish. Stop making excuses and just call it what it is. It's self-centered, it's harmful, and it's making the situation worse! And if you've got a garage stocked full of TP, hand sanitizer and face masks ... I hope your really proud! You're a real citizen!

I agree completely. It's the "I've got mine, the hell with the rest of you" culture in this country.

How about truck stops, where people from all over the country congregate and can infect each other.
Very scary. If trucking were to shut down, most grocery stores would be out of food in a matter of days.

He has to use those showers. He takes an abundance of caution at every one.
