It occurred to me that if you have an adult child that gets the virus...

they may want to come home to be cared for.
If the parents are older this could become a serious risk to their lives.

I know if our son got sick it would be hard for my wife to keep away from him even if he stayed in his own apartment.

This is a difficult dynamic that many older parents may encounter in the coming months, particularly with single children who live alone.

and he is staying in his own home, because he knows his parents are vulnerable.

Tell your wife to make himself homemade soup, and leave it at the door. And talk to him on FaceTime or Skype if you can.

In my late 50s and prone to bronchitis. Young man who’d be all alone living elsewhere.

That is sweet, except he is homeless at the moment (living in his car), and is very vulnerable to getting the severe form of the illness. I can't imagine just wishing him good luck and saying see you when you're better!
