(20,767 posts)I am fairly sure it will recur, too, when I DO pray.
My 5th Grade science teacher was a nun who told us in no uncertain terms that science, like everything else, originated with God, and studying and practicing science was yet another way to learn about and connect to God.
I have found an abundance of truth in that.

(26,291 posts)I saw a video, the other day, of a some televangelist's wife INSISTING that all people needed to do is invoke some scripture passage and they would be immune from this virus! (I think it was Mrs. Kenneth Copeland, but I could be wrong.) I say, invoke away, but do it from a distance, and WASH YOUR HANDS!!!!
Seriously, though, that kind of thinking scares the beejeebees out of me. I'm already envisioning a massive outbreak coming from one of those mega churches.

(20,767 posts)I've been rather sourly amused by the LACK of God-botherers and self-appointed Divine Mouthpieces telling us exactly who is being punished by a Vengeful Divine Sociopath and for what particular sins.
This dearth has been particularly acute since the news of the CPAC transmission chain...
