West Virginia is the only remaining state to have no residents test positive for COVID-19.
The states public health lab had tested 31 people for the coronavirus as of Friday night, the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources announced in a press release. At that point, 26 tests had come back negative and five were still pending.
All 49 other states, as well as the District of Columbia, had reported at least one positive test by then.
It is likely, however, that at least one person in the Wild and Wonderful state does in fact have the coronavirus. There are more than 1.8 million people living in the state, and so far only 31 have been tested.
