Are people more afraid of Donald Trump's incompetence or the coronavirus?

I do think people are very fearful of the lack of leadership coming from this White House.

It is not only the lack of leadership. It is the fear they will do something to make it even worse than it already is. For example, the speech the other night from the Oval Office.

The lies and the incompetence are a deadly combination. People's fears are exaggerated because no one is in charge.

Even the markets react to the incompetence. They don't buy bullshit. Unfortunately, that is the commodity that Donald Trump specializes in.

People ask, are matters as bad as they seem? Or is it that the captain of the ship doesn't know where in the hell he is going? Perhaps it is both?

I don't know that they speak for everyone nor do they share everyone else's prioritization of multiple competing concerns/interests, but their "opinion" (such as it is) is always out there for the world to see.

Every time he had a public event to try to make things better, he made them worse. Every time. That's not a reflection of the circumstances, but the man.
