Shop at your local Asian and Halal groceries

They may not have everything you're looking for, but the Asian grocery I went to today had plenty of fresh meat and fish, as well as produce.

My wife just got back from a run. Unbelievable pics.

Also - chain grocery stores in poorer areas tend to stay stocked longer.

Where else to get stalks of lemongrass, birds-eye chili, galanga root, thai basil, vietnamese mint, culantro (different from cilantro but similar), packages of random spicy-ass ramens, etc?

Their produce, while it doesn't usually last as long, is usually cheaper (sometimes WAY cheaper) too.
