Fauci: Possibly 'a few months' until life gets 'back to normal'

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said Sunday that it is possible it will take “a few months” before life goes “back to normal” amid the coronavirus outbreak.

“Can you try to help us understand, when will life get back to normal?” ABC’s Jonathan Karl asked Fauci on "This Week."

“It’s going to be a matter of several weeks to a few months, for sure,” Fauci responded.

... the duration depends on the effectiveness in which you do the kinds of controls that we’ve been talking about, the containment and the mitigation,” he added.

I know 'self isolating' is difficult, especially long term, but that's still a lot less time than you will spend dead.

you aren't really paying much attention to the passage of time. So, time passes more quickly if you are dead. None the less self-isolating is a good thing.

I guess the idea is to mitigate the increase in panic as the health and economic realities of this start to impact us all, (well, us as in not wealthy or Captains of Industry) and we glare into the face of the horrors to come.

I don't believe anybody in the WH right now, because they listen to some obese guy in a red hat and Depends who makes insane cameo appearances spouting ridiculous nonsense and conspiracy theories. He is trying to act like a President, but just does a good mobster/sanitation worker shtick. I wouldn't pay him much mind anymore if you want to survive this.

The virus could go well into next year or longer. We don't know yet and managing the herd there won't change that. The economic implications for a large number of Americans are going to cut very, very deep and there may very well be a half-a-major depression for that disposable crowd of useless eaters. Of course, a Recession refers to the wealth-side, the Depression will be played down as long as possible, (as the last one was).

So, no, this has long-term and far reaching implications now, but you won't hear about that from the Lie House because we are now in the managing public perception phase of this botched job. Don't panic! It will get better! Watch TV!

if we had a more responsible/competent............White House person. Think what you will about HRC but I will bet all of my remaining financial assets on there being nobody here who don't actually believe that she would be managing things more competently than *this*?
