9. This reminds me of our conservative cranks during the Iraq war.

Remember, Dick Cheney said "it is our God given right as Americans to use as much energy as we want".

Glenn Beck bragged that when he went to work, he left his SUV running with the air conditioner on full blast, just to make the point that he has the right to use as much gas as he could pay for.

Sean Hannity followed Glenn Beck, saying he bought the most inefficient SUV he could find, and let the engine run all day, even if he was at work.

And Rush Limbaugh declared that wasting energy was patriotic, because being rich enough to waste resources is what makes America greater than other countries.
