and a woman at Stanford (Seema something?) who is a high level doctor type basically said she had a list of testing promises made since mid February and none of them have come to pass - so, she's taking a wait & see attitude.

It is like "the boy who cried wolf". Why should we ever believe them with their track record. We aren't as stupid as they say we are.

testing is a containment tool. Containment failed (well, we never really tried to contain because of the moron-in-chief).

We are now into mitigation... and flattening the curve.

What they don't tell you in the "flatten the curve" explanation is that they now EXPECT 80% of us to catch the virus. So we stretch it out over 6 months so the health care system has a chance of treating the more serverly ill to keep the fatality rate down,
