Because the nation and world is expressing zero confidence in him. Voting with their money, literally. Any board of directors would fire a top executive who screws up as many things, and in so many ways, as Trump does. He must go now. Enough.

going to be Trump's Waterloo, or should be

The Fed is slashing interest rates again, to provide liquidity, which is good. However, the fed cannot stop the recession that is happening due to the pandemic, and the missteps and other things such as getting rid of the pandemic response team in 2018, and taking appropriate steps to minimize the damage, trump owns this

what Trump is selling. I'm afraid things will get worse before they get better. There will be occasional rallies as investors buy low, but overall I think it won't look good for awhile because of the coronavirus crisis. Too many businesses are being affected adversely, not just in this country, but worldwide.

It must be nice to live in such a way that burning the system down wont hurt you.

You have a right to be angry, very angry, white-hot furious even. I know that feeling. Be cautious in what you wish for as you still have something to lose.. even if it is only your life.

It took the great depression to break the hand of the free market man back in the 1930s.

Maybe, if we're concerned about stuff getting all fucked up, we should quit electing Retrumplicans.

You know what the right-wing always say; "elections have consequences".

Maybe we should "be best" the next time.

The kids in cages, minorities, immigrant women and girls being raped and killed in Mexico and Central America, the LGBTQ kids being destroyed by right-wing justices and the hundreds of thousands disenfranchised by state sanctioned gerrymandering and voter suppression weep for your stock market losses.

Give one fuck about Union pensions.

Retrumplicans always... and I mean ALWAYS fuck up the economy.

They can fuck it up through economic policy, or they can fuck it up through incompetent governance... but they ALWAYS fuck it up.

I'm sorry that a lot of people are going to be hurt, but a majority of this country saw this shitshow coming a mile away.

Acting like folks are hoping for or rooting for an economic disaster sounds so Russian-Botic.

I hope that's not the case, but I'm seeing quite a few attacks on DU members that are simply saying; "I told you so".

Besides, some one wishing for the stock market to go down, or up IS NOT CAUSING the STOCK Market collapse.

It's being caused because of Retrumplican incompetence.

I guarantee you that if Hillary Clinton were President, we'd be much better prepared to respond to this crisis. You might see a 10% correction, but you wouldn't be seeing a 25-30% correction.

You elect good government, you get good governance. You elect morons and a crisis becomes a conflagration.

ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES!

... don't feel bad about that.

It will likely go down because the Fed rate cut just stoked panic.
The Fed rate cut validates that the economy is in big, big trouble.
It will go down because Trump has been incompetent and foolish ... and even speculators and investors know it now.
