That moment when you realize how different things are

I had appointments at my veterinarian for Thursday. This morning I got a call. Two appointments for routine vaccinations were canceled and I was asked to bring in the third cat, who is medically fragile and needs regular blood work, this morning. A gowned and gloved tech met me in the parking lot, took the cat carrier inside, and returned it to me in the parking lot a few minutes later.

Got an email from our vet this AM. They are taking the same type of precautions.

I need my dog's nails cut since she is starting to resemble Howard Hughes. Now I know what to expect.

it isn't just human medical clinics having major concerns and issues. Not to mention, like dental offices (and many medical clinics) most veterinary clinic exam, reception, treatment and surgical areas are not extremely large and spacious, adding to concern with maintaining proper distance with both owner clients and staff.
