Microsoft Does The Right Thing For Their Employees

My son works at a Microsoft Store at the local mall. They have gone to reduced store hours, but they are paying their employees their full regular wages/salaries even though their hours have been cut.

Glad they're doing that for their employees. They do seem like a good company to work for. woodsprite Mar 2020 #1

My son works part time sales for Joseph A Banks. I can't believe how many people are still coming in to drop $1-2K on suits (and they run a small store). They are seeing fewer people come in, but it's right next to the hospital. He had a dr., a lawyer, and a nurse and her husband stop in yesterday. The company said they are not to fit anyone, wear gloves, nobody is to try anything on, and they have to wipe the store down several times a day. They did say that if any of the workers felt uncomfortable, they could take off and they wouldn't be charged or it wouldn't be held against them.

He's 19 and feels invincible. I'd rather him just go between our house and his girlfriend's (there would be no way he wouldn't do that), rather than also be at work. He's a college student and lives at home, so it's not like some people where they need to be at work. Guess that means that my germ field is about a 2 mile radius.
