I've heard "someone somewhere" denied tests that were available but we declined.
Do we know at what level and where that happened?

(14,145 posts)Why the United States declined to use the WHO test, even temporarily as a bridge until the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention could produce its own test, remains a perplexing question and the key to the Trump administrations failure to provide enough tests to identify the coronavirus infections before they could be passed on, according to POLITICO interviews with dozens of viral-disease experts, former officials and some officials within the administrations health agencies.

(15,084 posts)One of his minions went to him and said "WHO will include us in the test delivery." And, sensing a profit making opportunity and a massive and stupid ego (Only I Can Fix It!) he blew the person off and said Nah we don't need no stinkin' WHO tests. Or something.
This just sounds like him - stupid and dismissive.
