one time wealth tax on 1% to pay for stimulus package?

One trillion? How about it?

"In fact, the top one percent alone holds more wealth than the middle class. They owned 29 percent—or over $25 trillion—of household wealth in 2016, while the middle class owned just $18 trillion."

so for the cost of 4% of the wealth of the top 1%, we can find this bailout, help businesses make payroll to avoid layoffs........

such as Jack Ma? He donated thousands of test kits and masks, which have either already arrived or are arriving as we speak. Warren Buffet has over $150 billion sitting in his coffer, and what about the others?

Private profits for decades. But one bad year suddenly we are supposed to share the burden.

Total crock of shit but it happens every time.

Setting up the infrastructure to enforce a wealth taxes would be non-trivial. It would be far easier to increase the percentage in the top bracket of the income tax and eliminate the preferential treatment for capital gains.
