He's literally trying to "buy" votes. Thing is, with 1k, I'd like it in all $1 bills....so I can wipe my ass since there is no TP in the store. Saw plenty on ebay...at obscene prices...I'll use the shower or find a way to install a bidet.

And 1k doesn't go very far anymore. Most have debt way past that. I would use it to pay off some small bills....and that's not going to help spur consumption very much....and I suspect many others will do the same. The money they don't have to pay debt will most likely be put away...in case that layoff comes.

In the end, you get reduced earnings report from banks due to people paying down debt. Which sends the stock market down further. Just like TP, people will horde what little capital they have....and of course, the wealthy will move money into "vulture positions".

Meanwhile, people die due to his ineptitude.
