Mall parking lots empty lots of stores restraints and bars closed. Even casinos and race tracks closed. Trump has turned us into A third world country.

(49 posts)I am in Central PA (the oppressive Trump-country between Philly and Pittsburgh) and I found the State Wine and Spirits store here crowded a couple hours before they closed for an indefinite time. Stock was nearly depleted. Im thinking that it would be very profitable to set up a still in the back yard right now.
BJs Wholesale Club was crowded too, limited toilet paper and paper towels, with no hand sanitizer or wipes to be found. There was an armed security guard at the exit. Grocery store had no meat (dont care as I am vegetarian) and none of the aforementioned paper or antiseptic products. I was told at my pharmacy that the prescription called in by my cardiologist for the beta blocker I take for a chronic heart condition wouldnt be covered by my insurance because I have two weeks dosage left. Unbelievable, considering the circumstances- I am high risk, but I will have to go out again in two weeks if I dont want to pay out of pocket.
The businesses I feel worst for are the small, privately owned restaurants that are forced to do take-out only. They would have normally been crowded at dinner time but they were completely empty. I have a bad feeling that many of them here and around the U.S. wont survive this.

(14,918 posts)an earlier refill. I did that once when I was getting ready to go out of town for a few weeks and it is not an uncommon situation. I would imagine that they are getting a lot of calls these days from people who need to get early refills in order to stay home safely. It is definitely in the best interest of an insurance company to help flatten the curve!
