I just went to the store and there wasn't a single loaf of bread on the shelves. Ditto for all dried pasta and sauces. The frozen vegetable section was blown out.

I live in Dallas. I ordered the bread I like from Walmart on Sunday. On Monday I received an email informing me that they fulfilled the order with the exception of bread. Two loaves I ordered. I buy a Nature's Own producft (sugar free whole wheat) that is usually the very last type of bread stocked there and at Kroger and Tom Thumb. It's located on the top shelves of these stores and there's never been a time when I couldn't find at least a single loaf. It's pricier than the loaves of bread I see shoppers buy a half dozen or more at a time. I guess after they filled up their carts with all the bread they could stack on top of each other, you know, toilet paper-style, they had to resort to the only bread I'll eat. I saw a guy in the frozen section halfway into the bottom freezer, who looked around at me in stupefaction. He said, "well, now I know what it was like living in Soviet Russia."
