Greg Abbott just said on press conference, there are 80-something cases of CV in Texas (even though the John Hopkins map is saying 134 and updated before the conference). Then he said they are monitoring 1,900 more suspected cases.
What is a suspected case? And if we were supposed to have all these tests available now, why haven't these 1,900 people been tested? Or does suspected mean they were tested and we're are waiting on results?

(137 posts)His approach has been to let all local governments take the lead. The result is a hodge podge response helping no one. The 1900 is the number of people that have been tested. 1900 for a population of 28.7 million people. So what's happening locally? The majority of people are treating it like it's just media hype. I live in a county that is considered a bedroom community to DFW. Businesses here are open, the CDC recommendation regarding group sizes--- Not happening. Clubs still open, restaurants still open. On a FB community page the general consensus is Rush is right it's just a bad cold. Thank goodness the powers that be in charge of elder care and schools know this is serious and are taking steps to protect those two populations.
So yeah Texas is frickin messed up-----Again
