I was thinking today of common characteristics. I see his popularity has actually fallen a couple percent among the true believers, but most of them are sticking by him. Heres what I think. Let me know if Im missing anything
#1 Racist. This seems to cut across socio-economic and geographical lines.
#2 ignorant. Not 100% but pretty common. As in being closed off secure in their knowledge that their beliefs are true. Largely uneducated but this is certainly not always true
#3 certain geographical locations but its a subset of #1 mostly
# 4. Self centered and greedy. They seem to admire him just because he is rich and dont care he he got it.
# 5 Lacking empathy
Really most of the stuff I can think of are just derivatives of these basic qualities. Its too bad such a large segment of society share these traits. Maybe not all of them.

(16,254 posts)Actually, about as far as one can get from being politically correct. Not Obama.
Some of the mouthy, macho followers hated being called racists, morons and stupid for being such jerks in public. They loved the way Trump called people names, made fun of their disabilities and didn't take any guff off anyone.
They also loved that he was going to tell foreign countries that they were going to have their funds cut off if they didn't adhere to his rules. Gangster machoism. Mr. Tough Guy. They love that...especially, the women. Just look at them at his rallies, they idolize him.

(10,184 posts)And also missed the one above (3rd)that they really like him because he says obnoxious non-PC stuff. I actually think might be right up there with racist. Or maybe its a subset of racist.

(10,184 posts)Seems to be a pretty common. Not sure if thats a separate, nameable attribute, but most of those people would identify with Trump; his whole I started out with a small one million dollar loan from my father is an extreme but common attitude. Inheritances, better educational opportunities, being born in the US. They dont acknowledge what a leg up that is.
Maybe # Intitled would be the word.
