Trump was either lying before or he's lying now.

Here's what I think:

Trump is not lying when he says he believed for a long time that we had a pandemic. This was simply an unusual moment of truthful candor.

For much/all of his residency, you can bet that Trump has been told privately in no uncertain terms that he is to get his instructions from and follow the lead of the Fox talking heads. Certainly this has been discussed here. Who's giving them their instructions is not known for sure. At least by me, anyways.

So given that Trump isn't completely stupid, and in some ways is quite smart, it is not at all surprising that he indeed thought it would be and was a pandemic long before he was allowed to say so.

I believe Fox's change in tune preceded Trumps. Can folks confirm?

A fellow DUer saved me mental anguish and reported back on the status of the Fux talking heads. Of course Tucker also blamed China, but other than that he told the truth and said tRump was wrong.

I have the clip bookmarked someplace.

Trump's definition of truth is whatever is best for him or puts him in the best light at that very moment.
