Ive been staying home with the exception of a daily walk to a small local supermarket a out a mile away. I didnt buy anything today I just walked around to see they have and didnt have. Some stuff is sold out but theres plenty of food still We havent gotten the shelter in place order yet but sounds like its coming.
There was a lot more traffic on the road today which surprised me. Also more people out walking. I ran into the same neighbor a saw a couple days ago who poo-pooed the whole thing. I didnt want to talk to him yet, maybe in a few more days the reality will hit him. My son is coming home from college tonight. All classes will be online the rest of the year. So not much has changed yet; I miss the late night comedians. I know some are doing shows from home but those guys are the only way I can keep up in the latest BS from Trump. I cannot stand watching his pressers and the lies and blaming. Makes me ill. The only thing that makes it tolerable is when the late night guys show it and everyone laughs. Anyway, so far Im doing fine, hope everyone else is too.

(27,995 posts)I need to stopping watch so much news and spend more time outside.
It rained most of the day yesterday, so being outside in the sunshine and seeing other people (from a safe distance) almost makes me feel like life is normal again, if only for awhile.

I think the late night hosts are working as hard as the news media and some artists are to Skype their shows. This in itself is a sea change in real time for us. Im sure glad we have the internet now! Its instrumental in ways we have no idea are happening right now. It is more than just a source of information now. Soon it may be the very foundation of human society.
