My X though who does not need it can pass it forward to the son that just signed a year lease for a week later to shut everything down, eliminating jobs.

this wouldn't kill all of it, but it will get me a month ahead of the curve and improve my cash flow situation.

So, I'll be "supporting" the financial market industry, I guess.

But some of it will stay in my checking/savings account for well thought out use. Or at least I hope so. I'm not so good at that. But I don't really need much 'stuff' right now, beyond a couple of new pair of pants or something. I live in a really small apt, so no big screen TV or high end stereo. Perhaps some small accessories for my PC, but don't need a total upgrade, just some more disk space, etc.

It is now down to 28k and change. My tax refund went to debt. Most of my disposable income goes there. If I get the handout, it will go there.

In any case, it will all be paid off in 11 months.

Good for you. We’ve has some debt in our past and it felt really good to have it gone. My wish for you is to have that feeling of relief and satisfaction well before your set goal timeline. Good job.

The microbreweries of the United States will not have bars to sell their products in for people looking for a few hours away from the reality of day-to-day existence, and they need my help.

That is, charitable organizations. But shouldn't we be putting it into the economy? If we don't need it for groceries and rent, what are the best discretionary places?

Carry out at local restaurants or on something else local. The whole reason for them sending out this money to individuals is to get money back into the economy while people are self quarantining.
