I was using one note, but it's clunky on my phone.
I don't want an app where I uncheck an item and it disappears, because I will be forever rebuilding the same list and searching for items in the catalogue. I want it like my one note. It's a master list that I check off what I want on the week I run out. I wish it would highlight it automatically, but I can live with doing it myself.
Tried Listonic so far. Anything better out there?

(72,377 posts)and I just figured out the disappeared ones went to the bottom of the list. I'm going to try it today and see how it goes.

(5,524 posts)It has a list function that operates the way you describe. It will temporarily disappear while shopping but it is still on the list for the next time you go. You can also share them in the family so my wife can generate a list and ask me to stop for shopping.
It has the added benefit of being a Frequent Shopper repository. Load in the info and it replaces the little scan tags that go on your key chain. It generates a bar code on the screen that the scanner will read. I use it at Jersey Mikes and regularly get a free sub.

(15,806 posts)You can build your list and check off each item as you shop. You can then choose to uncheck everything on your list (with just one button) instead of clearing it, thus restoring your list.

(15,805 posts)Check out Our Groceries, its free with an option to buy the premium version. You can set up any number of shopping lists and make them specific to different stores. Organize your lists by category to see what you have and to keep like foods grouped, like produce, dairy, bakery. They also let you include recipes. You can set up master lists and designate how you want to show crossed off items.
If you shop at Wal-Mart their free app is available with photos of the items. You can shop online and schedule deliveries if that service is available, or PU times to drive in and they will load your grub so you never have to leave your car.
Other big grocery chains have their own handy shopping apps. These are much easier than trying to build a list from scratch. Target has an app.

(12,422 posts)It keeps a running list and you tap the item when you pick it up so it grays it out and sorts it below the things you haven't gotten yet. It has more features but I just use it with a running grocery list. You pay for the PRO version ($1.99 I think) but that has no ads. Good voice input speech-to-text on my ancient Android version 4 phone.
