So I took the "oven cleaning" mask from work

A 3M half face respirator with two-week old 60923 cartridges. Chlorine, ammonia, other "organic vapors and acids"...and a P100 rating.

P100 is 99.97% of particles 0.3um or larger. N95 is 95%. That's literally millions of times better.

We buy the cartridges at the start of every month. This month they were barely used. In terms of particulates, they're practically virgin. I just got four more refills for $75. I'm lucky.

Sodium hydroxide, trichloroethylene, severe detergents...it gives off some real harsh fumes that we provide the dishwashers reasonable protective equipment for.

Part of that PPE is a good 3M respirator with a multipurpose organic vapor cartridge, that happens to also be P100 rated. It filters 99.97% of 0.3um particles, as opposed to an N95 that filters 95% of 0.3um particles.

I have no dishwashers in until we reopen, so I stole their mask. I'll give it back when we reopen.
