I'm always amazed when elected officials say "I haven't heard about it"

when the subject is something that's all over the news. It seems to be the go-to response for Trump, but he's not the only one.

people see through that one, laugh and roll their eyes. "I haven't heard about it" is just plain bullshit.

Especially when they slip-up. Trump can say "I haven't heard about it" regarding some NYT story, then minutes later rip into the NYT for reporting the very thing he said he hadn't heard about.
