Of all things my son and his fiancé had both their CARS STOLEN from their apartment complex lot in Boynton Beach and may need to go to a car dealership. Cops told them they had 10 stolen cars already this AM.

except bars, gyms, movie theaters as of today, some beaches- depends on county, restaurants of course. I work at a veterinary clinic and we are busy as ever. But I think we will be considered essential.

And as far as testing goes...a drive through testing spot opened on Wednesday and of today they have tested 5 people!! ONLY 5 people!! And its an area that is heavily populated. The requirements to get tested is crazy here still. They ask you questions about your symptoms and then do you live with or been with a person who tested positive? Have you traveled to another country? Answer no - then no test for you!! There are probably so many people here who have it but aren't tested.

The problem, which DeSantis expounded on yesterday is we don’t have enough test or labs to run them. He was pretty vocal about the fact we probably have lots more cases than we know and without more tests can’t get a good handle on it.

And many counties in Florida are very sparsely populated. Not surprising they have no positive tests. If they can even test.

My job requires me and my team to work. Critical infrastructure stuff. Going to work does not scare me because we are practicing extreme isolation and sanitation. The grocery is another story. Even in a sparsely filled store I had to stay on my toes to keep 6 feet or more from other shoppers. People are clueless. These are people worried about the virus and buying necessities but have no knowledge of social distancing. Even though we are bombarded with the message.

I felt something brush my ribcage and looked down to see a woman snuggling right up to me. I was like, "is she nuts?" I backed away from her but she kept wanting to talk. My guess is that she had a stay home order from work and was lonely. At any rate, we had a short conversation and that seemed to have satisfied her need for human interaction, she went her way and I went back to trying to reach a way back can of nuts.

So, to your point. It is hard to maintain social distance, because you can't control what other people do.

These moronic customers are all over us too. Had an elderly guy trap me in a corner. I backed away and he said "am.i bothering you?"

There are only a few fools shopping but they are enough.I think we are open because they don't want to pay unemployment. Our "coach" keeps sending emails reminding us to wash our hands.

The company has a program called FLUency that has provided free thermometers to 10% of elementary aged school children nationwide.

https://www.kinsahealth.com/enterprise/kinsa-for-schools

We own one of their smart thermometers and have been using the app when taking our temperatures daily. I believe the data feeds into their database and they are supposed to protect privacy of the users.

There is a mechanism to manually enter temperatures taken with a non "smart" thermometers into their app. A national program to do more widespread tracking could be a useful tool in identifying 'hotspots" before they expand out-of-control.

pictures of him, his wife and family out in restaurants and on crowded beaches every day on Facebook. It looks like it has been life as usual there. I usually go to Florida in early March every year. I am glad I canceled it, I sure wouldn't be on any airplane. I think I would rent a car rather than fly.
