I think Cuomo may mean well but I feel he should not be trying to explain viruses

....and the data about its spread, percentages etc.

He is not a medical professional or specialist in pandemics and while he may be even reading data, as I listen to him, it’s feeling condescending at times and it can confuse.

Unlike Trump - Cuomo is surrounded by experts in his State and he lets them do their job and he listens to them and he tells us what they tell him.

Also he's breaking it down very simply so all can understand. He's doing a great job of it.

What do you consider confusing?

we don't have enough tests to in order to truly understand the scope of this pandemic and enhance the public health response. Minimizing this disease undermines his message of the importance of compliance. Telling people who are symptomatic they shouldn't be tested without being transparent about the true reasons why that testing isn't being done is irresponsible.

tests even and some symptoms are NOT covid, the flu is still out there, the cold virus and people have allergies which they may mistake for covid, maybe he should have described the specific symptom combo's, diarrhea, fever above 101, scratchy dry cough, tightness in chest, headache ...individually these are not covid but combinations could be, all are symptomatic to the individual

they still don't have enough tests

should hand over medical discussions to medical experts. It would increase his credibility and look a bit less vainglorious all while increasing the accuracy of the information relayed to the public. That was just one of the personal qualities that made Obama such an incredible leader, his deference to those who know more than he.

It’s not true that people shouldn’t get tested....

We should be testing as much as possible - but we can’t because Trump and their White House dropped the ball.

...have enough tests and that it’s “old news”.

No - it needs to be front and center and we need to DEMAND that they produce and provide enough tests for the entire population just like we need to demand PPE and ventilators and ICU hospital beds ASAP.

We are in a triage moment right NOW - which should be temporary and of course the frontline medical workers and first responders take priority.

But massive testing needs to made possible.

Please stop trying to excuse what should not be excused and to accept what shouldn’t be accepted as the new normal.

I give him an A- on all things but he would have an A+ if he just left the medical data to medical trained and public health personnel instead of rambling and making false and dangerous comparisons of numbers of deaths in Seasonal Flu. There is no comparison between a human virus and an animal virus and what these two viruses do.

It should concern us all and It’s important that our leaders and officials understand that.

I worry about all the New Yorkers and oyhers when they hear a NON-MEDICAL person giving info that is incorrect.

COVID-19 is not a human virus and should NEVER even be compared to the seasonal flu which is a human virus. It leaves people with a false sense of security.

So, no thank you - I won’t listen to him and his take on the medical. And I hope others get their medical info from Medical trained people, and yes, that includes my own Governor who is not making the same type of mistakes as Cuomo and isn’t talking Medical and leaves that to MEDICAL and PUBLIC HEALTH personnel.
